Daycare Pricing Plans

We’ve started bringing baby to this daycare, which is particularly great b/c they’re a 5 minute walk from work. They have a few different pricing options, ranging from hours, daily, to various weekly plans. Since we’ll probably be using this daycare for the foreseeable future, I figured I’d make a plot showing the most cost-effective strategy for choosing plans based on the number of hours we need in a given week. This is that plot:

In short, it only makes sense to purchase the 25 hr plan if we were doing 19 to 33 hours of daycare in a week, the 40 hr plan if we were doing 33 to 44 hours of daycare in a week, and the 50hr plan if we were routinely doing 44+ hours per week.

Gotta love data analysis for helping to understand situations like this.
