I pay the utilities on the house, so may as well look at what they look like over time. Well, here’s how much electricity (Illuminating company) and natural gas (Dominion) costs for the house:

At least in 2022, you can definitely see the energy peak in the summer (probably b/c of air conditioning), and natural gas peak in the winter due to the heater. Not sure yet why the last payment was such an outlier though. Also not sure why energy costs weren’t higher in the summer of 2021.
