Nutrition facts

Now that I’m in my 40’s, my bloodwork has started showing dysregulation in my metabolic measurements (eg. triglycerides, cholesterol) that I should keep an eye on to make sure things don’t get worse. This has prompted me to actually start paying attention to the nutritional content I’m consuming. I’ve started recording down the nutritional labels from what I’ve found myself eating, so I can better categorize items into groups that are like better or worse for what I’m predisposed for. Here’s a heatmap comparing the scaled, dry-weight content of these items.

I’ve ordered the columns so things that I want (eg. Protein, Fiber) are on the left, while things I specifically don’t want (eg. Sodium, Cholesterol, Added sugar) are on the right. This chart really makes it obvious that I should just be eating a lot more vegetables, haha.
